How do i change currency depending upon IP address?

Hi everyone,

I managed to do something a while ago but can't seem to remember where the option is in the admin panel any more! :oops:

I have installed the usercurrency mod and want my site to automatically display the price in the currency of the country from where the visitor is located. I know the option is in the admin somewhere but, where?!!!

I would also like to do the same thing.. as well as have the country in the coustomer sign up area automatically change to the country of the users ip address.

I think "having to be stuck" with the country automatically defaulting to one specific country on the customers sign up page is bizarre.. Especially when you have sales all over the world.

To Automatically Change to the default currency of an ip address wouldf be great.
Any to automatically show the users country when signing up as a customer wouidl be great also.

This results in greater customer confidence.

Yep, I worked it out! Firstly, you install the UserCurrency mod. Then, when that's done, set up the currencies you'd like to be displayed in Admin--->localization--->currencies.

Then, when this is done go to: admin--->configuration--->my store and set 'Switch to default language currency' to true.

Well, think that's how I done it?!!! :smile:

oops.. never mind. I got it now.

This is an AWESOME add on!!

I must be doing something wrong because I just cannot get this working.

Everything installed ok, I'm in Canada ip2nation.com show that I'm in Canada I have 2 currencies (USD and CAD). In admin I was already defaulted to USD, turned on the setting and nothing changed on my site - showed USD currency instead of CAD. I then went back into admin, defaulted the site to CAD turned off the setting and made sure my site was defaulting to CAD for sure, then I turned the setting back on and I started getting defaulted to USD on the site.

I also noticed the uninstall sql script is trying to remove tables customer_currency and country_currency whereas the tables that were created are called customers_currency and countries_currency
