Change navigation and sidebox colors

My cart currently has blue as the color for the navigation bar, sideboxes, etc... how do I change them to red? I found this posting but I couldn't tell where colors should be changed assuming I am in the correct file, sytlesheet.css.

Your nav bar and side box headings are images - tile_back.gif - and you need to edit these images to change the color and also all buttons.

Might be simpler to use a different template
