Changing Date-Of-Birth to require only month and day

I have a customer who wishes that the year requirement for the Date Of Birth was removed since many customers (yes, ladies) do not like to disclose their actual chronological age. But they would like to use this for sending out Birthday wishes to all customers each month. Can this be formatted to show only month & day?

Can this be modified? And if so, I am looking for a volunteer to assist! Actually, not a volunteer.....would love to have a second on retainer to pay for modifications.

If you were to search via the Developers Tool Kit on:
dob

You would find a zillion places that this is referrences and would need to be changed as well as alter the validation method ...

While it could be done ... I don't think it really is worth the work involved just to exclude the year on it ... :unsure:
