Need report to find who bought product

I have a product that has a new part that needs to be sent, because it was found to have a faulty part.

Is there a mod that I can install or a way to quickly do a report that would show at least the order number of everyone that bought this product.

Ideally, it would be nice to do a report where I could look up a product id, and find everyone who purchased this item, including customer name, email and the order number (at minimum, would be nice to just get the order number...I process 500+ orders a month, so to go through and find the 50 people that ordered the product each month from those would be EXTREMELY time consuming)

I do have Sales Report mod installed, But I can't get it to find just the one and only one product and associated order numbers.

I didn't install Super Orders, I couldnt' find where it would get me the information needed, and it was a little overwhelming for me!

Is there anything like this, or is it something that would be possible.

If you're using the latest version of Zen Cart, the "Products Purchased" report in the Reports menu will let you do that just by clicking on the product ID number next to the product name.

I have been using that report for a year now, and the sales report too, and never knew that I could click on there!

You can even type in the product ID number in the search box ... or even customer ID if you follow the right syntax. Sorry it's not well documented as yet.

/me peeks around ... umm ... I got bored one afternoon and jazzed up the report and sorta forgot to mention it to anyone? :blush:

Well, I appreciated, i have found it useful...

BUT, unfortunately, I reset that number every couple of months. Because our store is so fluid, with new products in daily, and some of them are seasonal, we reset every other month, in order to keep the best seller list up to date with the current "season"

Is there a way to repopulate the products purchased, from the beginning of time?

You would need to write a script to compute the sames from the orders_products table and update the products_ordered in the products table from these values ...

We also need to find customers who purchased particular products. When using "Products Purchased" under the Reports menu, it make no difference where we click (the product name, ID or anywhere else on the product line) we are sent to the Category/product page, not a list of customers who actually purchased the product. We are using zen 1.3.5 Is it possible this option is not available in this version?

That option exists since v1.3.7. And v1.3.8a is the current version as of today.

(forgive me if this is the second post. something screwed up when i sent the first one i wasnt sure if it went through).

i need to add a csv export button to this page for when you click on the product id. i need to be able to export all the email addresses at once. Linda, do you know how to do that? or has anyone successfully done that??
