Shipping Wisdom Needed...

Hi Folks!

I was going to pick your wise brains over this following scenario:

I am planning to have a Zencart that will sell multiple manufacturers products from different parts of the world (drop-shipped).
For now one from Malaysia and one from the USA. The online store is located in Illinois, USA.

Each of these manufacturers are using different shipping options from each other:

  1. The Malaysian is using DHL, Air Parcel and TNT to ship worldwide.
  2. The US-based one is using FedEx and will only ship to the USA.

So, say a USA based customer buys one item from the Malaysian vendor and one item from the USA vendor. At the check-out, can each of these products have their afferent shipping options such as:

A. Malaysian BBQ Sauce (worldwide shipping options: DHL, Parcel Post, or TNT)
B. USA manufactured Apple Pie (USA-only shipping options: FedEx)

The QUESTION I have: Is Zencart equipped by default to handle this kind of scenario or do I need a special shipping module?

Did I make things complicated enough?

Any suggestion idea or different plan MORE THAN WELCOMED!!!

Gabstero.
