Reseller Only Site - Pre registration required

I know I have seen this somewhere, but I have searched and can't find it.

I have a 2nd store for resellers only. I have it set so they can't see prices until logged in, but I want to disable self-registration and require access by my personal invite only. Otherwise anyone could self-register, see the wholesale prices and try to order.

Where can I set this?

Nevermind - I found a workable method via Customer Details and E-Mail Options

When you're ready with that site, how about a link to it so that I can see if I want to be a reseller for you.

What was the workaround you came up with? I've also got a wholesale site that requires the sales rep to create the customer record. We don't want customers to be able to sign up themselves.

I'm also interested how this could be achieved. Been googling around some time and this thread is everything I have found so far.

Going to check the things dkerfoot mentioned, but I would really appreciate more info.

I installed the "Add Customers from Admin" contribution located at http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?main_page=product_contrib_info&cPath=40_41&products_id=454.

In Admin > Configuration > Customer Details, I set "Customer Shop Status - View Shop and Prices" to "1 = Must login to browse".
