Product Pricing (net and gross)

I just created several tax zones and I think this is what's causing the issue, but I wanted to post this anyway so just in case it's not and it's a BIGGER problem, you guys can help me out with it.

So when I make the net of a product say : $39.99
The gross becomes: $214.5863

and this is only the case when Tax Class= (taxable goods-the take class I made)

Is this normal? Is there anyway to have the tax class turned on but the gross appear as it should?

Re: Product Pricing (net and gross)

At this time, if you have multiple Tax Rates defined ... the total is combining all the rates into that price so it looks pretty moofy ...

This has been fixed in the upcoming Zen Cart v1.3.8 to use the Shop tax rate rather than the total taxes as that is not always appropriate ...

Re: Product Pricing (net and gross)

well what does "gross" account into on a live page? Is it just for Admin accounting...I haven't seen throughout my testing that it effects any purchase amounts in the cart and/or checkout payment side of things...So is it just an annoying thing atm I have to put up with when building products or is it going to come back to bit me one day?

It's an annoying visual admin glitch that will be resolved when you upgrade to v1.3.8 after it's released. It's only a display issue while entering/editing products.
