Skip more then ?-prod Categories

is it possible to have the "Skip 1-prod Categories" feature work when there is more then one product there.

i really want to completely bypass switching the subcategories after clicking on the category. i want to just go straight to the product listing page.

can i just dig into the code and change the (1) in the "Skip 1-prod Categories" code to a higher number like 99 ? if so where can i find it?

Can't follow your logic here...

Clicking the category link takes you to EITHER a list of sub-categories OR a list of products in the category

If there is only 1 product in a category, then you skip the list and go straight to the product page.. if there is only 1 product in each of several sub-categories, how could ZC know which one you wanted to go to after clicking on the first level category?

right but i want to have only one subcategory and have like 20 products inside of it. so i don't want to have to click on the category icon and then subcategory icon before i get to see all the products.

i want to completely bypass the subcategory icon but i can only do that if there is just one product (not 20). how can i make that like 99 products instead?

I'm not trying to be difficult - just trying to understand, because it seems to me that you are making things more complicated than they need be. :smile:

i think i'm missing something - i'm not a coder and i've been beating my head against this software for days :frusty: so my brain is getting mushy. but i'm extremely happy with my results and glad i chose zen cart :smile:

so what i'm after is --

i don't want subcategories at all for about half of my categories ( some will need them though in the future) i just want to click from category to product listings with no subs in between and i can't figure out any other way to do it. maybe there is something that already exists? the only thing close is the "Skip 1-prod Categories" feature so i figured i could alter it to work for me. i'd like to create a way to have subs optional if i can.
