Can't get past the phpBB Setup

When I click save phpBB Settings I get a blank screen. Even when I choose not to use a forum it still takes me to a blank screen. When I transferred the files to my web server 11 files had an error message. Could this be what is wrong. Help! I hope to hear from someone before I delete everything and start over.

I do the install and everything is perfect until I do the save changes to phpBB. It goes to the database screen but it is all blank.

I am running the lastst 1.3.7 all-patched version.

This is usually a result of failed FTP uploads.

FTP timeouts while uploading, or errors during upload, can leave some of the files on your server in a non-functional state. You need to ensure that all files upload without error. Sometimes files may upload but may be left at 0 bytes due to a timeout while uploading. This makes them similarly unusable.

Best to re-upload and ensure that there are no errors.

A free reliable FTP program is FileZilla ... and it'll usually catch all errors and allow you to retry any file that has a problem during upload.

THANKS! That was exactly the problem. I do use FileZilla and have never had that problem before but I upload again overwriting everything and I am now past a lot of the problems,
