Add to cart from a link in an animation flash

Hi,
I'm wondering if it possible to add a product from a link on a button inside a flash animation to the cart?

I know for example that this is done via the following :
<input type="text" name="cart_quantity" value="1" maxlength="6" size="4" /><br /><br /><input type="hidden" name="products_id" value="23" />

If it is possible from a link on a button inside flash, is there a specific syntax?

action script or xml

I can use actionscript. Do you have examples?
Is xml better, easier to update?
