Customer details "you must select a state"

I've defined that the "state/province" to be pulldown.

Some contries don't have such sub-divisions.

When a customer selects a country that is not divided to sub-division, you get the error "state must contain a minimum of 2 characters", BUT THERE IS NOTHING TO SELECT FROM!

Any ideas?

Hi hey this is an issue for me to, sure you can put na in there but it looks yuk on the address info.

It seems mighty dumb to me that you have a country list and then this state kinda hiccup.

I hope someone out there can shed light on a way around it.

Set the minimum Value to blank on the State and for places that do not have anything defined it will allow blanks ...

Use at your own risk ... I'd tell customers to use N/A or something instead ...
