USPS for international shipping

I'm trying to set-up USPS as the only option for International shipping. I'm in the US. We have UPS set up for shipping currently. I installed the USPS module, got an email from USPS saying we've been moved to the production server and I set up several countries in a zone called 'international' and set the USPS module for that zone only.

When I setup a Canadian address, I'm getting the message 'We are unable to find a USPS shipping quote suitable for your mailing address and the shipping methods we typically use.'

I've looked but can't figure out what I'm missing.

Also, when viewing the shipping modules, the 'sort order' circle is yellow next the the USPS while green next to the UPS. That's got to mean something.

The yellow icon indicates either something is not configured or that you have filtered that module is some manner ... such as set a zone ...

If you take off the Zone that you created, does the USPS module work correctly?

NOTE: I am assuming that you have setup your 5 digit US Zip Code and that all of your Shipping/Packaging settings make sense for USPS ...

If I remove the zone, it works for a US address but not for my Canadian address. It's an address from a real customer, so I'm 99% sure it's a valid address.

I can remove the check boxes for Domestic Shipping options so ti doesn't appear for US customers but it's still not working for international.

Unless something is wrong with your database or weird on the address it doesn't make a lot of sense ...

Try making a new test account with your customer's address to see if it works or not ...

What version of Zen Cart are you running?

Clean install or an upgrade?

How did you install? How did you upgrade?

It's a clean install of 1.3.7 I created a new account using the same Canadian address, same result.

I did remove all the countries except the US and Canada at one point. Since then I've added a handful back..in hopes of offering international shipping. It's possible I set up the 'new'countries wrong but Canada was never removed.

Any other suggestions to try?

Is there any significance to the countries_id field in the coutries table? With the deletion I've done, they are no longer sequential.

Aw shucks! It works on another install I'm working on. I must have messed something up in the countries.

Is there a reasonable hope of it clearing up if I put the contries back the way they were? If so, what tables are involved? I see Countries and does Zones some how apply?

Last comment, I swear. I just noticed this install is verion 1.3.7. The other one I got to work is 1.3.7.1. Does that help explain at all?

I would upgrade to v1.3.7.1 and then go from there with this problem ...
