Can't get subcategories in multiple columns

I found some posts here similar to this, and I do have my max value for the columns set to 3.

I have my stylesheet like this so my logo in the header is centered:

#logo, .centerBoxContents, .specialsListBoxContents, .categoryListBoxContents, .centerBoxContentsAlsoPurch, .attribImg {
text-align: center;
}

If I change it to this:

#logo, .centerBoxContents, .specialsListBoxContents, .categoryListBoxContents, .centerBoxContentsAlsoPurch, .attribImg {
float: left;
}

It works fine by then my logo is not centered! How can I get both my logo centered and the subcategories in multiple columns? Thank you.

Re: Can't get subcategories in multiple columns

If you want to change just one of a group of selectors in a declaration, separate it out into its own declaration, and then you can have your way with it :)

#logo {
text-align: center;
}

.centerBoxContents, .specialsListBoxContents, .categoryListBoxContents, .centerBoxContentsAlsoPurch, .attribImg {
float: left;
}
