Hosting images on zencart for ebay

What I would like to do is host some images on zencart that I can use for ebay to help draw people to my site. The way I thought of was like this:

I would probably have to make an ezpage with the image on it (I would assume make a separate ezpage for each picture), and then somehow create a thumbnail for it that I could post on the ebay site. So in the ebay listing, it would show the thumbnails, and if they clicked on one, it would take them to the larger image which is on zencart. That way, it would be in entire store format (they would see the website, with the sidebar, menus, etc. and just a picture of the image which would not violate any ebay rules because it would have no price or checkout options.

So I guess what I am asking is, if I make an ezpage with just an image, how do I make a thumbnail that I could post on my ebay listing? Thank you.

Re: Hosting images on zencart for ebay

I would do this differently. Creating an ez-page for each auction item seems like it would take longer than needed.

When your writing your auction listing on ebay, you could just add a link attached to the picture to redirect people to your product information page on zen-cart. Last time I looked into this, Ebay allows you to link your listing to another site that provides information about the product up for sale. There are some limitations to this, but I dont know all the terms and conditions.

A simple link would look like this:

<a href="http://www.YOURWEBSITE.com/ZENCART_PRODUCT_PAGE" target="_blank">

You can leave the target="_blank" if you want the link to open in a new window. I would leave it in case they dont want to buy directly from zen, they have the option to come back and bid on your listing.

You would add this link on your ebay listing. Just click on HTML on the templete, and add it next to the link to the image.
