Define pages editor - prevent new line

Hi All,

Currently working with the define pages editor for my main page. I am trying to incorporate some custom coding for my main page with the featured products module in a table,

Problem that is happening is that the system seems make sure that the featured products (or any module) begins on a new line away from any custom code I have.

Now obviously I could code a table into the define pages editor and have it contain the featured products module, but the problem then becomes how do I close the </td></table>. That would throw everything off for all other pages because the only way I can see of doing it is in the footer.
Any ideas?

Use your stylesheet to re-arrange the page instead of the define page editor.
