PROTX, checkout_process.html is blank when loaded

Hey guys, we have been trying to install Protx Direct for about the last week now. We have installed it, uninstalled it, re installed it but still whenever we get right to the end of the payment on our website the /checkout_process.html page just loads up blank.

We have turned off the SEO's to see if this makes any difference but is doesn't it still loads blank. We have Paypal running at the moment and that is fine but we need another payment method

Has anybody had the same problem with Protx and does anyone know how to fix it any help would be appreciated :smile:!

Hi Craig,

I was having this problem too and solved it by installing CURL on my server. I noticed this problem after moving servers. So, it was quite easy to track down the issue. :)

I've been told by the boss man that we already have curl on our server so that didn't work unfortunatly :(

I discovered though that it's not just protx that is doing it but its also CC

Paypal is fine though, but we don't just want to use Paypal

Are you sure the page is blank? There's often a helpful PHP message lurking in the HTML even if nothing shows visibly on the page.

Afterthought ... this might be linked to the issue that appears to be resolved by this thread.

Unfortunalty that thread didn't work, the arrow that could of been missing wasn't missing :(

I'm pretty sure the page is blank kuroi, I saved the page and there was no PHP in there. If I'm being a complete idiot where else can I look to see if there is PHP code there?!

I've been through all the

**\includes\modules\pages ** folders that relate to the payment stages and compared them with the other sites we have that work and all the code in these is still the same.

o yeah and the order isn't even coming up in the admin panel, unlike the other thread which is a bigger pain

Is there somewhere that we can see the offending page (via a test account)?

For the checkout process. Users can only go through the checkout when they're logged in, which means they need an account. If you want people to look at your checkout process, it's courteous to not require them to go through the create account process. But from your point of view, it's even more helpful to be able to concentrate all external test accesses into a single account in case you then want to undo any purchases that they make.

Any future date can be used for the expiration date.

The only CVV Code which will return a match is 123.

The AVS Verification will only return a match if the following Billing Address details are used:

Billing Address: 88
Billing Postcode: 412

These are the default billing address details which will be submitted by the module in test mode if the “Use Test Billing Address” checkbox is ticked.

Right I've just installed the module on my test default site I've got on our local server and it works fine. So there is obviously some code or somthing preventing that last page on the live site I'm working on

Assuming that your URL re-writing mod is working OK, it seems tp be the final steps of your checkout process that are failing and is unlikely to be anything to do with Protx, since you said that the CC module also fails. Paypal takes a different path through the final steps so it's not a big surprise that it works when the others don't.

That your site actually shows a checkout_process page is not normal, as that page's header_php script should have re-directed it to checkout_success first. So I'd start by checking that the header_php file hasn't been cut short somehow, by checking that the version on your server has the PHP closing tag at the bottom.

If there's nothing obviously wrong there, take a look at the checkout_process module. That's a whole serious of steps taken to execute the purchase which is called early in the header_php script.

You could also try simply replacing these who files with fresh copies from the version of Zen Cart that you are using in case one of them is corrupt. Otherwise, it's likely that you will need to insert some echo statements to fins out how far the code is being executed before it fails absolutely, or simply fails to execute the redirect instruction.

right...so I have copied over the *\includes\modules\pages* that relate to teh checkout process so they are all fresh, clean and new and I have doubled checked that the closing tag is on all of the files and still nothing.....

Wait I have just found a file in my modules folder called

checkout_process.xxx

now obviously that ain't a real file!!

Now I'm hoping that could be the answer to problems!?

well I feel a bit stupid :frusty: and when i say a bit I mean VERY VERY VERY

it works now!! you stare at a computer screen all day and you just pass over things you should really pick up!
