Writing in product description - Why html?

Sorry about the bizzare title, but when i go to add a product description its causing me alot of time and bother. I have to enter the formatting as html and its a little annoying. I know basic html and could make a basic layout but even then to add more products would require pasting the tags and then going through it and editing the product name, size etc.

Anyone know any ways of makeing this process a whole lot easier and faster?

In Admin / Config / My Store settings turn the html editor for the store...!!

If you have more complex description, then using an outside program to perfect it first might work better for you. You can make everything work right before pasting the code into the description window.

I use a tabbed product information box in my descriptions, so I created one template in NVU and then change it for each product and copy it into the description as needed.

I am using Zen Cart v1.3.8a/v1.3.8 This is a fresh install on a new server with No ad ins working yet.

I lost my Dropdown Box that let me enter a new Item into the store. It gave me Plante and HTML.

I did make the change in In Admin / Config / My Store settings turn the html editor for the store...!! it's now set to HTMLAREA.

I am so new to this it's not funny.
