Product Qty box problem

I know they are a lot posts about Min / Max Qty etc but I can't seem to find anything on the problem I'm having. The qty box displays as empty (but if I look at the html it has a value of 1) if I click in the field and enter say "2" it displays "12" etc etc it only display the default value once you enter a value in the field...?

The value of "1" shows in IE PC so thats looking like a FF Mac problem maybe but the value still dos not reset when another Qty is added.
