Editing/adding a downloable product to an order

I've run into a problem when adding an additional downloadable product to an existing order.

I can add products to an order (I have edit_orders_1.2.6 installed which let's me do this). However the product download button will not activate for the customer. So I can see the product is available in the order, but there is no way way for the customer to download it.

I don't get the usual yellow or green radio buttons next to the products either to toggle downloads on or off.

Ideally I want to be able to add additional products to any order and set them active for download.

My whole business depends on downloads (I ship 100's of products this way every day) so it is important to me that I can add and edit products in any order.

I have a simulare problem. I would like to update the downloads available to my customers.

In other words they purchase a year membership. Each month the downloads are updated I would like to be able to add additonal zip files after an order is placed and have it available to all members who purchased the membership.

I know there is a subscription mod. But I have followed the destructions exactly and it doesn't work. I did manage to get it to work before but then for no apparent reason the site whent caploue. Now I need to redue it and would like to be able to just have the product set up as a download then each month I could just add a new one to the list. I understand adding as an attribute my issue is can I add to the list each month.

OR. Would I need a zip that was called thismonth.zip and just add to it each month.

Any answer to this question would be grate.

I'm having the same problem as dcboardman. I have successfully added new download products onto a previous customer order. They are listed on the customer order, however they aren't downloadable by the customer when they return to their account. Can anyone shed some light please??

i am new to to zencart i have the shoping cart orking but i am trying to add downloadable files to it and it just ont work
i have no idea what is wrong and what to do .
could some one plz post or are able to give me step by step instuctions on how to set it up
i have tried some of the ideas that i have found in the posts but still it wont work and i need to know the attribute settings
i just carnt work it out and i dont know wat i am doing wrong

I've been editing orders using one of the downloadable modules: edit_orders_1.2.6 (I think there's a later version now).

It allows me to add a digital product, but doesn't configure it for download and I'm trying to figure out how.
