Additional Fields in Registration?

Need to know how to add more fields to my registration pages. I sell costumes and wish to have customers record their measurements when they sign up! Thanks!

Re: Additional Fields in Registration?

I need to add fields like:
Bust
Waist
Hips
Hip to Waist
Bust to Neck
etc. I need to add new fields for when a customer registers.

Re: Additional Fields in Registration?

How does that help Grandma buy a new costume for Tiny Tim?

Re: Additional Fields in Registration?

Grandma wouldn't let Tiny Tim wear these costumes. :lamo:

Well, that poses a more difficult alternative:

Can I add a table onto the checkout for their measurements? So that when I get their payment, I also get their measurements?

Thank you so much for your prompt response!

Re: Additional Fields in Registration?

Since I am the generous sort and want to order a different costume for me and all of my friends on the same order ...

Have you looked into TEXT attributes being added to each Product -- then you have the sizes given to you per Product per Order ...

Re: Additional Fields in Registration?

I don't quite understand what you are saying. You see, I currently have a form that the customer can fill out (a php form), but it's a lot of work for the customers. Not only do they have to register to order something on my site, they also have to fill out an order form on a totally separate page to tell me their measurements. This can be confusing for me. Is there no way to keep this together?

So I'm not exactly sure what you're suggesting.

Re: Additional Fields in Registration?

If you added Option Names for each of the settings, then they can just add the measurements as they order each Product and can go through and set what they want in measurements per Product per Order so if ordering for themselves or 12 people or want to adjust the sizes on 5 Products that they order for themselves ... then they can ...

TEXT Attributes are more or less fill in the blanks as either input fields or TEXTAREAS ...

OMG! I get what you're saying! SO COOL! So cool...you're awesome. I love you.

Er...you wouldn't happen to know how to age restrict certain products would you? nervous laugh

I know I'm pushing my luck.

Re: Additional Fields in Registration?

Radio buttons ...

Option Name:
You are of Age

Option Value:
YES

NO
Default
Display Only

Cannot order with Default Display Only attribute selected ...

They are going to lie one way or another ... at least this way they swore in the ordering of the Product that they were of Age ...

You could even get fancy if you are into coding and capture this specific option_id and option_value_id to post a special message error like:
Too Young you lose ...

Or something along those lines ...

Re: Additional Fields in Registration?

I may have to call you for the minute details. Would that be okay? o_O Of course, I'd ask for your number in private messaging - but would that be alright? Some of the stuff is a totally new concept to me.

Re: Additional Fields in Registration?

Fine. v_v Don't call me. I'll have to type everything out.

So I did the attributes thing - and it's a real pain. For one, I can't copy it to my master categories like Cosplay - I have to do it one at a time. This is going to take me for-ever.

Is there no way to be able to add it to Cosplay instead of doing it one item at a time?
