Godaddy SSL Seal?

Hi All,

I downloaded and installed this mod today. When I go to the control panel and turn it on the site is blank. The header and background are there but nothing else? Has anyone ever experienced this problem? The one thing I have noticed is this path /includes/modules/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/sideboxes/tpl_godaddy.php

Is that path correct? under modules do I need to create templates? because it dose not exsist as well as sideboxes ? https://www.petestown.com

Re: Godaddy SSL Seal?

Unless you have actually called your template folder YOUR_TEMPLATE then you would need to put the correct name into that file's path. And the same for the associated module file.

And please, please do something about your image file sizes. Many of your thumbnails are over 300k that's roughly 100 times bigger than they should be for your front page which is incredibly slow loading and bandwidth chomping as a result.

Re: Godaddy SSL Seal?

Well I use custom for all of mine and yes that is where it is? It still the last path that bothers me?

Pic sizes? Should I edit them and shrink them or is it more like the quality ie amount of pixsels?

Re: Godaddy SSL Seal?

The path /includes/modules/templates/MY_FOLDER/sideboxes/ does not exsist? should I ad a folder templetes/MY_FOLDER/sideboxes in the modules folder?

I thought this should be the path

/includes/templates/MY_FOLDER/sideboxes/

That exsists https://www.petestown.com Rich

No, it's not correct.

As far as overrides are concerned, sideboxes use this structure:
/includes/modules/sideboxes/YOUR_TEMPLATE/
/includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/sideboxes/

Re: Godaddy SSL Seal?

Hi DrByte,

Thank You for that clarification!. Maybe someone should change the read-me file in that download to reflect the appropriate path. But still I tried it with BOTH paths last night before I read this today! And when I go to admin and turn it on it blanks the main page? I have background I have the Header, But no sideboxes or products? I turn it off and its normal! And yes I tripple checked my paths and they are good! And check the code from GODADDY. I have the Medium size seal.

Re: Godaddy SSL Seal?

The mod was written to be used with the override system.

YOUR_TEMPLATE is a folder named this for the fact the creator (which is I) does not know or anyway to know what name users are using for their template folder.

If you are using the classic template folder simply take the files within the YOUR_TEMPLATE folders and drop all folders within into the classic folders on your ftp.

Hope that helps. As for the syntax error, I have already tested this with 1.3.8 and worked perfectly as the day I created for 1.3.x

Good Luck

Re: Godaddy SSL Seal?

Ok

Your readme file says

Add the following files:
/includes/languages/english/extra_definitions/YOUR_TEMPLATE/godaddyplus_defines.php
/includes/modules/sideboxes/YOUR_TEMPLATE/godaddyplus.php
/includes/modules/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/sideboxes/tpl_godaddyplus.php

The first two directories are good, the last one is incorrect. There is no templates folder under the modules folder?

Am I missing something?

Re: Godaddy SSL Seal?

If your template folder does not exist under the folder it says, simply create a folder named same as your template.

Re: Godaddy SSL Seal?

Well all this has me confused. Here are where the files for godaddy are at:

includes/modules/sideboxes/godaddy.php

includes/templates/sideboxes/tpl_godaddy.php...

Where do I need to put them so the seal shows up in my template which is at:

includes / templates / zencart_zen /

Thanks,

Coucho

Re: Godaddy SSL Seal?

the module one goes at

includes/modules/sideboxes/godaddy.php
and
includes/modules/sideboxes/zencart_zen/godaddy.php

There is not a includes/templates/sideboxes/

But place it

includes/templates/template_default/sideboxes/tpl_godaddy.php
and
includes/templates/zencart_zen/sideboxes/tpl_godaddy.php

etc

Re: Godaddy SSL Seal?

Kobra's absolutely right that there's no includes/templates/sideboxes/ folder, but for the rest I suspect he's been a smidgen too long at his keyboard helping people.

You only need one copy of each file and where that goes depends on how you want the sidebox to work.

If you want it to be part of a specific template and only show up when you are using that template, then the paths and files should be includes/modules/sideboxes/zencart_zen/godaddy.php and includes/templates/zencart_zen/sideboxes/tpl_godaddy.php

Alternatively, if you want the sidebox to always be available, whatever template you are using, the paths and files should be includes/modules/sideboxes/godaddy.php and includes/templates/template_default/sideboxes/tpl_godaddy.php

Either way you would also need to enable the sidebox in the Admin > Tools > Layout Box Controller menu.

Re: Godaddy SSL Seal?

I have the files installed in the correct folders and the godaddy sidebox shows up in the admin but the seal still does not show up. All I see is the secure logo sidebox. I can only assume there is some problem with the script. Does anyone know which folder the script is hidden in?

Thanks,

Coucho

Re: Godaddy SSL Seal?

this is the file includes/templates/zencart_zen/sideboxes/tpl_godaddy.php

you edit to enter your script from godaddy, only thing you have to replace is the script from the one you downloaded from zencart downloads

I am assuming your template folder is named zencart_zen thats where the above file would be if it is.

Re: Godaddy SSL Seal?

Having some issue with getting the Godaddy SSL + Seal to show up with my template:(
I have gone through and tested all the links http://dytronic.com/test.htmland have gotten the godaddy SSL
seal to work but cant seem to get both SSL and Site Seal to work (godaddyplus)
http://dytronic.com/

I am using the Apple Zen Template and have a theory that the Site Seal image is too large for the sidebox? I can turn on the SSL sidebox and all is OK, then if I turn on SSL and Site sideboxes are gone.

I have tried to widen the left column Admin>Configuration>Layout Settings>
Column Width - Left Boxes and Column Width - Left
No Joy there?

Anyone have a suggestion? CSS maybe?
