Search not working with Russian language characters

I've installed the Russian lanuage pack and changed the the charset to russian in russian.php but when I perform a search it comes back with no results. Can someone please let me know how I might fix this problem. Thanks.

I fixed the problem by changing the charset from iso-8859-5 to koi8-r

Hey people, who are using this Russian language pack. I do not know Russian language and I should help some folks to get Russian site with Zen Cart.
How do you think the quality of this translation? It would be not nice if there would be suddenly something impolite for the end-customers etc.
The person who "found" the pack is indeed saying that doesn't know who has done it, so I wonder if somebody has tested it and maybe updated for 1.3.8 as well.

Hi! Were you able to get the month's names in Russian? Like for specials of this month - the month names I get are all English.

I have the same problem with the filter - show items starting with... - I get only English alphabet there too.

Hi. I have other weird problem. When I'm trying to search a Russian word, it is being urlencoded in the url string, and zen-cart shows me 'page not found' page instead of any search results. When I search english words, or even replace those %xx symbols in the url with english letters, it works. So, what may cause such strange problem?

Hi! I am using this language pack. The quality of translation is not great, but ok. There are no impolite words there, just misspellings, lost commas, etc. The admin section isn't translated fully (which doesn't bother me really).

Thank you very much. The version I have is russian 1.3.8a, but the letters in the filter are still english. Unless, of course, you have a different version of russian zen than mine.

I also have english months names instead of russian ones, which I don't know how to change.
