Search in header Bar only?

Hello, how can I have a search box just in the header and not in the sidebar? I went to Tools> Layout box controller and set:

sideboxes/search_header.php ON
sideboxes/search.php OFF

But I'm getting an unformatted search box in the left column as well as in the header. Search_header.php seems to be creating the search box twice. I'm not using any special template. Is this a bug or have I missed some setting?

Thanks kuroi, switching the left column status to off and the single column status to on did the trick. I seem to remember reading somewhere that the single column status was deprecated and not being used at the moment but that is obviously not the case.

Yes. I think that Ajeh wrote something a while back explaining the rationale behind this slightly odd setup.

Can't find it now though since she's so damned prolific that any search, however specific, invariably yields the maximum allowed number of hits.
