How to customize category/search listings

In my category/search listings, I would like to...

  1. Remove the "Filter Results by: Items starting with..." section

  2. Remove the quantity boxes

  3. Remove the "add selected products to cart" button

Also, in the search result listings, I would like to somehow display the keyword phrase that was searched for.

Forgive me for bothering the forum with this, but I really did try to figure this out on my own. :-) Thanks in advance for any useful information.

Thanks,
John
