Before the upgrade in 1.3.8 the email sent to a new customer contained well the header.jpg
Now when I test create-account, even if the customer checked HTML, the header.jpg is not shown in the message.
In my DBase 'customers_email_format' is at 'HTML'.

It is 2 days since I search, help me! :(

In fact, in spite of the choice HTML, the mail is sent to text.

Try changing "Emails must send from known domain?" to Yes

No improvement...

Try renaming the /includes/extra_configures/email_use_8bit.php file from .php to .php1

Well I guess it wouldn't be fair to blame your webserver configuration without some proof, right? especially since you said it was working "before" you upgraded.

So, do this:
a) change "Email Archiving Active?" to true.
b) test some emails
c) download and install the Email Archive Manager addon:

d) use the Email Archive Manager to look at the email content that was prepared by Zen Cart and handed off to the mailserver: Admin->Tools->Email Archive Search

You should see that there is a text and html portion. The preview will probably show a little bit odd, but the content will show.

When I click on the button IMAGE_ICON_TEXT, the email is in TEXT.

If you're seeing several UPPERCASE constant names, you haven't properly uploaded the language file that came with the mod.

Inside the /includes/functions/functions_email.php file, what is the version ID stamp?
Please explain all the steps you followed when you did your site upgrade. In as much detail as possible.

I uploaded 1.3.8 on the server
I added /includes/languages/french and /includes/templates/classic

Did you run the zc_install process to upgrade the database also?
