Emails Not Being Sent to Admin

Hi!

I have searched - no really, and I'm sure I missed it. And I looked through the troubleshooting FAQ.

If I place a test order I get the order email as a customer.
But as the owner I get nothing.

I downloaded the Email Archive Manager and installed it, placed another order and when I view the Manager it is showing only one email sent - to the customer.

Should it not show the email being sent to the store owner as well?

I am not receiving it either when I check the Webmail of the owner via CPanel.

My Setting in Admin / Email:

Transport: PHP (also tried Sendmail)
Linefeeds: LF
Use MIME: False
Send Emails: True
Verify through DNS: False
Email address & From are both: sales@......... which is a valid email add on the domain
Entried must send from known domain: True (have tried false)

I also think I have a problem with my host not showing PTR as a customer can't get her password resent to her as the email the cart sends to is never received as it doesn't contain PTR/Reverse Lookup.

I emailed the support people but they have handed it off to customer service but I don't know why.

I am so close to changing hosts as this is annoying me now.

Um ... you have two email addresses entered there, but have not followed the documented format.
Try these:
a) change to just one address, and test
b) try just the other address, and test
c) try both, but follow the format described next to the input field.
Maybe even try (a) and (b) using the described format, and test individually, and then combined.

I also think I have a problem with my host not showing PTR as a customer can't get her password resent to her as the email the cart sends to is never received as it doesn't contain PTR/Reverse Lookup.

Not having a PTR should not cause the type of problems described.

If the eMail addresses used within Zen Cart have previously been tested and are known to work, then the suggestions by DrByte should help to solve your problems.
