How to remain logged into Admin longer?

Is there a way to increase the amount of time I can remain logged into Admin? Just wondering because it seems I'm being logged out after 10 minutes of inactivity. Just would like to stay logged in longer, especially if I have alot of items to upload.
Tried changing Admin Session Timeout in Seconds from 3600 to 7200 but this didn't help.

Look in the Tools ... Server/Version Info ...

Search for:
session.gc_maxlifetime

What are the values on it?

And when you say lots of items to upload ... do you mean manually or are you trying to import or what on them?

I have the same problem.

The settings here are:

session.gc_maxlifetime 36000 1440

but the pages are timing out long long before 36000 seconds have passed.

What else can I tweak?

You can try altering the value in the admin config menu: "Admin Session Time Out in Seconds" which is set by default to 3600, ie 1 hour.
To remain permanently logged in (not recommended for a live website) you can use a value of 0 (zero).

I cannot repeat this issue ... I stay in for an hour ...

The Admin login works based on the setting on the Configuration ... My Store ...

I set mine to 10800 for 3 hours ... and I stay in for 3 hours ...

However, you might check with your hosting provider to see if they are preventing you from managing this ...
