[Done v1.3.9] Ampersands in descriptions

I'm having a problem with the customized description and metatags of categories : if I have an ampersand in the category title (that appears in the browser title), it won't pass validation. If I change it with the html entity, it will pass but will be re-transformed as a single character if I re-edit the category description. I have to change the ampersand to html entity each time.

I don't know how important is this bug, how much it affects forms through the system, but it should be fixed, team ! :lookaroun . Anyway zen cart is a great achievement keep up the good work !

Hi and Welcome to the Forum.

What you are pointing out is not a bug within Zen Cart but simply the way Browsers and coding work together. Not something any of us can do about.

Using an amperand (&) within a Title tag should not be considered a problem or something to worry about; even if it fails validation.

The learning is in the doing.

Re: [Done v1.3.9] Ampersands in descriptions

You can always use & in your descriptions/titles.

Of course since these are stored in the database, whenever you do an edit you'll have to remember to re-do them.
