What is Products Url

Hello,

Can anyone tell me, when you're adding a new product, down at the bottom is says

"Products URL:
(without http://)"

What does this do?

If the product's manufacturer has a description page for the product, you can use this link to access it.
For most stores, it can be ignored.

Ah.. cool! Thanks for filling me in on that.. I have a few items in this store that it would nice to do that with!

How do you best add such a description page?

Help appreciated.

If you don't have a remote manufacturer's site/page to point to and want to make your own details page, you can use ez-pages to do it and point to that. See tutorials for ez-page creation.

I am trying to use the Product Url function to add a link to my retail site.

when I add the link information on the product info page everything looks fine but when I test it on the live site the link fails. The address shows the http twice and I cannot figure out why.

example - http://http//example.com

What did you add as the URL for the Product?

NOTE: it should NOT include the http:// on it, but should start from the www ...

Hi, Please help. Iam trying to update my product data however everything was updated but the url does not even though it shows on summary page after updating with EP as updated but going to the admin product section it is not updated and hence it does not show on the website. Is there anything am missing out?
I am updating without the http://. Please help. Thanks
