PayPal Pro - UK Switch/Solo/Maestro cards

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone had managed to get the PayPal Pro module in 1.3.8a working with any crads that require an issue number or start date?

I have seen a number of posts for 1.3.7 but not sure if this would be correct for this new module.

If anyone has any ideas, then please, please let me know. It is one of the last things to sort before the site goes live.

Many thanks (and Merry Christmas)

Jamie @ Fuzion

Re: PayPal Pro - UK Switch/Solo/Maestro cards

If you have the PayPal Pro module in UK mode, and have enabled switch/solo/maestro cards in Admin->Configuration->Credit Cards, then those options will be available to your customers.

Re: PayPal Pro - UK Switch/Solo/Maestro cards

As always, thank you again Dr Byte.

Now to sort out the images for the cards taken...... I am sure I have read a post for doing this.

Keep up great work (and Merry Christmas)

Re: PayPal Pro - UK Switch/Solo/Maestro cards

Hi,

Well images are working fine, however I am a little confused with the Switch issue.

For the fields to be displayed it appears that we have to have the PayPal Pro Mode set to #2 - Payflow-UK = Website Payments Pro UK Payflow Edition.

When we have it set to this, the fields are shown, but we are unable to process any cards at all. When I change it back to #1, we can take payments from both Visa & Mastercard, but obviously not for Switch/Solo etc.

Has anyone any ideas?

Cheers

Jamie

Re: PayPal Pro - UK Switch/Solo/Maestro cards

Hi,

When I enter a Visa card with the UK module turned on, I get:

We were not able to process your order. Please select an alternate payment method, or contact the store owner for assistance. (26 )

Cheers

Re: PayPal Pro - UK Switch/Solo/Maestro cards

Error code 26 means you've entered invalid data for Vendor/User/Partner/Password settings.

This suggests that you don't have a UK PayPal account.
What exactly do you have for a "PayPal" account? what country is it domiciled in? What "kind" of account do you have?
Were you ever given information to login to a "manager" console?

You may have to contact their technical support to get your security information and to determine why it's rejecting your logins.

Re: PayPal Pro - UK Switch/Solo/Maestro cards

Hi DrByte,

We have a UK based PayPal Pro account. We also have 'manager' access to this service for the likes of Virtual Terminal etc. When logging in to this, we enter paypaluk in the partner field in the log in.

I hope that answers your questions. So do you think it may be a PayPal issue?

Many thanks,

Jamie

Re: PayPal Pro - UK Switch/Solo/Maestro cards

In the PayPal settings in your Zen Cart shop, have you entered your User/Vendor/Partner/Password information? If not, it cannot process your transactions.

Re: PayPal Pro - UK Switch/Solo/Maestro cards

The only bits that I have (which are all filled in) are in the PayPal Express module, which are:

API Sig - Username
API Sig - Password
API Sig - Signature Code

In the Pro module, it appears tp pull everything from the PayPal Express module.

Am I missing another module that should be installed for this to work?

Cheers again,

J

Re: PayPal Pro - UK Switch/Solo/Maestro cards

I have just checked the version, and reads 1.3.8a

I have also checked that all the extra files in the payments folder are there and same version.

Any other ideas?

Cheers

Re: PayPal Pro - UK Switch/Solo/Maestro cards

In the Express Checkout module, you should have options for:

  • API signature (3 fields)
  • Payflow credentials (4 fields)
  • option to choose PayPal, Payflow-US, and Payflow-UK

You need to fill in all 3 API fields, all 4 Payflow fields, and choose the Payflow-UK option.

If you don't fill in the Payflow fields, or if you put incorrect information in them, you'll get error 26 when trying to process credit cards directly from your site.

Re: PayPal Pro - UK Switch/Solo/Maestro cards

Hmmmmmm,

That will be the problem them. I have the 3 API fields and the options to choose between PayPal, Payflow-US, and Payflow-UK but none of the Payflow credentials!?

Do I need to reinstall something to get these to show up?

Cheers

Re: PayPal Pro - UK Switch/Solo/Maestro cards

If you select Payflow-UK and save your settings, then when you go back to edit your settings, the Payflow fields will appear.

Fuzion

I'm sure that Dr. Byte has maged to iron out the problem, but just as an alternative take a look at this link.

dev.ceon.net/web/zen-cart/ceon_manual_card

I have it configured on my 1.3.8a store and it works fantastically well for UK stores. I did donate , but this is up to you.

Re: PayPal Pro - UK Switch/Solo/Maestro cards

DrByte:

If you select Payflow-UK and save your settings, then when you go back to edit your settings, the Payflow fields will appear.

I did that, several times, but everytime I go back to edit nothing has changed.
I even tried logging out and logging back in again, but sill nothing changed.
I am now waiting for Paypal to get back to me to see if they can sort it out, but that will be Monday at the earliest according to the note after the query had been submitted.
On my Paypal account page there is a button that says "Go To Paypal Manager" and this is supposed to be linked to the business account and Pro, I believe, but every time I click it I get an Error 500 page, inernal sever error so that seems to be something wrong at the Paypal end.
Sigh, nothing is easy is it!
I will have to uninstall again, because I have already had 3 customers getting in touch saying there are problems with the website!
Express seems to be working just fine, but not Pro.
I downloaded their manual for Payflow and followed the link to where we are supposed to sign up to Payflow, but the page wasn't found.
Lovely.
I'll let you know if I get any success with this.

Re: PayPal Pro - UK Switch/Solo/Maestro cards

are going back into the express checkout settings or the website payments pro?

if its the latter you need to go back into the settings for Express checkout, when on the express settings try holding ctrl and pressing F5 to force reload the page, never know it may work,
