custom checkout - changing split-page-login

Hi,

I have a few questions about customising the checkout process of website.

When a new customer clicks on the check out box currently, they are confronted with this.

You can see that there is a login box for existing customer and a link for new users to sign up.

I would prefer that they are taken to a page like this

And perhaps also a login box for existing customer

How can I do this??

If you are going to use PayPal's Express Checkout, you have to offer it before you ask a customer to give you their personal information.

you should be able to just turn OFF split login, and go back to the original login/create account page

and the paypal express button will then be displayed onthe shopping cart page where it is shown before the customer has to enter any information

Nope. as long as paypal express is installed I am locked into using a split login. :(

How do you do this? How do you turn off the split login while still using the PayPal Express Checkout?
