SITE DOWN - maintenance mode works

Could someone take a look? When it does work home page loads but none of the subs.

No recent changes to site files, I added about 140 items to the database over the last few days. Backed up db yesterday!
The site is running the following mods:
Magic SEO - for 1 month

Mods running since start up:
ImageHandler2
Lightbox 1.?
COWOA
Google Analytics
various sideboxes that all seem to work in maintenance mode.

Server Up Time: 09:39:51 up 213 days, 15:04, 0 users, load average: 58.11, 55.10, 60.31

Please don't give me the default it's GoDaddy problem, they are looking into it and will respond within 24 - 72 hours :yuck:

Yell at godaddy some more- you have a blank white page that took forever to load.

Sometimes I get the blank page, sometimes I get Server Not found, sometimes I get my index.php Never do I get any subsequent pages.

I have been playing with the files, I renamed the .htaccess from Magic SEO so a default.html page would load

In maintenance mode all categories load the maintenance page and the rest of the site looks fine (sideboxes, etc).

:smile:Don't know who fixed it, GoDaddy or Me. The last thing I tried was to rename the .htaccess file, tried the site a bit, replied with the last message, named the .htaccess back. (I did not delete it, just renamed)

At the same time the site started working again?

Go Figure, let's see if GoDaddy calls back.

Please don't give me the default it's GoDaddy problemVery, very slow page loads and then unable to access the database (i.e. it's gone down again). We know that you know Zen Cart well enough for it not to be a configuration problem, so where else is there to look? I doubt that it's the server on which your site is hosted. It looks to me like a problem between that server and where GoDaddy is hosting its MySQL databases, or the MySQL server itself.

This isn't altogether a surprise. I had to move a client off GoDaddy since we couldn't get a reliable connection to his database. They tried to upsell him, but wouldn't still give any guarantees about database access.

I'd recommend that you look at the time you have spent on trying to deal with this, and compare that to the monthly cost of an account on a Zen-Certified host.
