there are no extra spaces or line breaks i need help getting into admin!

Merlin's correct.

You've likely left some files in a "checked out" state with your Dreamweaver uploads.

In v1.4 we'll be changing the autoload system to ignore those extra files.

i 'checked in' the entire cart off the remote server in D8 and 15 minutes later... click and i'm into the admin. Thanks. Now it's time to put 1.38a to the test!!
