ZC Installer Not Working for me

I just got through uploading all of the files to my server on bravenet.com and changing all of the permissions to "777" as described in the tutorial and i am ready to run the installer, however when i type the address in the browser the Zen Cart heading shows on the browser header but the page is all grey and no content is appearing. Any ideas on what i need to do to get the installer to load in the browser?

Must have a corrupted file or many???

What did you use to upload the files with - filezilla reports upload errors.

i used filezilla, any suggestions?

just looked at the bottom 3 tabs, under the "failed transfers" tab there was one file and i just successfully transferred it to the correct folder (it was in the zc installer folder) but the link is still doing the same thing in the browser after multiple reloads

Do you have a cPanel account with your host?
Who are you hosted with?
What is the url to your install?
If you recall - were there any remaing files or messages in the bottom window of filezilla?

ok, new problem. the only red flag that came up on the "pre-flight" check is "PHP Safe Mode - ON"

My server is bravenet.com, any suggestions? If this matters, i am just trying to set this up to add a small shopping cart interface to my pre-existing website to integrate with paypal, not trying to open a ZC shop.

This should only be a warning so install past it...

Safe mode on is a security issue and if you can use htaccess you can later set it to off

You will fing that Zen Cart is NOT modular where you can use just the things you want and is meant to be/replace any html or?? site that you currently have.

Just so you do not invest too much time in something that you want and find that Zen Cart will not cooperate.

oh really, i must have misread the features when i found it. can you reccommend a cart that will do what i am looking for?
