I installed all the files in the correct position I run the clean install query in my Mysql 5.1 Db and the admin control panel showa the Ajax Image swapper setting panel when I choice the color option for the test t-shirt. When I swicth in the admin backend form a color to another I see the small (a full colored 35x35 square), medium and large image (correctly uploaded) for the the different color but in front-end:

the original Zen-cart setting with drop-down color chooser and no "ajax" images.
What I forget to make? Or what else I msut change in admin settings?

Please let me know what went wrong: i work on mac platform with Google or Safari browser and up today no problem with other programm's backend panels

I reinstalled the zencart with version 1.3.8a and now the AIS works perfectly.
Is there no patch available to let it run on 1.3.9; my template works only on the latest zencart release

Does this module work with php 5.3.8 and mysql 5.5.16. I had an issue with the testing server and could not get the WAMP set up to load so after a couple of reinstalls I have ended up with the latest versions above. This module does not now seem to load the main image or the additional images for attributes on the product info page, although the database seems to be holding all the same data. The only change is the server and all was working before this.

Any ideas or is there a php version issue here.

I have just started using ZC (1.3.9h) and installed IS.

Can't seem to get it to do anything.

In Admin >> Catalog >> AJAX ISM, I can select the category and the product but there's nothing in the images box.

Clicking "Setup Images" or "Clean up now" seems to do nothing.

Others say when this happens they see errors in the logs. (Excuse the newb question) which logs? Where?

I'm pretty sure I installed as per readme.

What am I missing?

I just noted that Under Admin >> Configuration there are two "Fuel Slimbox",the second having no entries and no option to add any. Could this be it?

I found the correct ajax image swapper for zc 1.3.9h; all ok with installation and the swap runs perfectly (image size and front-end view still to set correctly...) but when I try to use the module with color attribute I see the standard radio button chooser and not the AIS image small boxes. Otherwise without attributes I can swap easily through different colors but when I add the product to cart the selected color is not added to cart option but only the default one.

I need the color choice to be forwarded in the cart but I cannot remove the ZC button color selection when i Use attribute wit AIS.

well i have reinstalled from scratch and I cannot get this to show images. I do not get any errors, the images are in the database in the ajax image swapper manager, and images show on the product listing page so they are being read, but I cannot get the to show on the product info page.

I can only assume this is a php version or mysql version thing but as I am getting no errors I don't know. Can any one confirm if this works for them on WAMP 2.2.21, php 5.3.8, mysql 5.5.16.

For some reason I cannot get lower versions to run on this install of apache with out the whole lot crashing and failing to start.

look forward to some ideas.

Don't have a WAMP test but am wondering if you have any other mods installed. If so, it's very important to see if the mods have any files in common. Ceon's URI and a couple of others will conflict with AIS.

Where did you find the 1.3.9h version? The most recent I can find is 1.3.8a. If you could share the link or send me the zip file I would really appreciate it! Thanks!

My problem seemed to start after my WAMP install decided it did not want to allow me to change the settings and run an older version of PHP and Mysql (which it had been doing just fine for ages). I had to reinstall WAMP and can only seem to get the latest version of PHP to work on my system. However this is when AIS stopped.

So as far as I can recall there was no issue before - i.e the mods installed and the code have not changed, just a slightly more recent version of PHP is being run.

I have been documenting all changes quite carefully and I have just been back through the files of the last few modules I have installed. (Usually I check each file before I move it into a directory to make sure there is no conflict) .

I have not yet installed Ceon URL's but intended to so this is obviously one to watch.

Having looked at file names in the last few mods installed I cannot see any thing that needed merging or with the same name that might have been replaced, so I am wondering if this is a bit deeper into the code. Could you give me an indication what files / code might be common and cause this conflict.

So my first thought was to question if the code in the ajax files was effected in anyway by the php version being run. (I confess I am no php programmer and whilst I know enough to follow roughly what is happening I do not know enough to understand if a subtle syntax in the code has been effected)

While I respect and admire all of Ceon's work and support of Zen Cart, I would submit that we have several sites out performing their distributors' sites with NO changes to ZC's dynamic URL creation.

Also, I have tested the AIS with version through 1.5.0 and PHP5.3.#. It works just fine with a clean install which makes me think mod.

Try and review those you've installed to see if AIS has any that are the same.

I've just spent some time testing this and can confirm that this information is now out of date.

Ceon URI Mapping v4, as expected, works perfectly with the version of AIS available from dbltoe, with no modifications or customisations whatsoever being necessary for either module. :)

So use Ceon URI Mapping with AJAX Image Swapper anytime you want, without any fear of problems! :)

I know this is slightly off topic but just thought I'd point out that using static URIs with keywords in them comes way down the list of SEO optimisation factors, content is the all-important factor.

However, all evidence is indeed that once content is sorted, having keywords in static URIs results in higher rankings in search engines that the use of dynamic URIs.

The difference is tiny compared to that offered by having the correct content on pages so the majority of effort should be concentrated on the content first!

With a strict version of MySQL 5 the installation SQL script for AIS fails. This is because of the use of double single quotes for the configuration ID setting.

The last block in the AIS_fresh_sql_installer.sql file could/should be changed from

INSERT INTO configuration 
(configuration_id, configuration_title, configuration_key, configuration_value, configuration_description, configuration_group_id, sort_order, date_added)
VALUES 
('', 'Small Image Height', 'IMAGE_VIEWER_SMALL_IMAGE_HEIGHT','75','The height of small images in AJAX Image Swapper, shown as thumbnails. Default 75.', @last_id, 1, now()),

etc.

to

INSERT INTO configuration 
(configuration_id, configuration_title, configuration_key, configuration_value, configuration_description, configuration_group_id, sort_order, date_added)

(NULL, 'Small Image Height', 'IMAGE_VIEWER_SMALL_IMAGE_HEIGHT','75','The height of small images in AJAX Image Swapper, shown as thumbnails. Default 75.', @last_id, 1, now()),

I.e. NULL instead of ''

Or, the first field should be removed altogether:

As usual, you not only provide the Zen Cart community with excellent products, you go the extra mile to create an environment free of those glitches that happen between mods. Not everyone would look at their mod with an eye as to making it work in all situations and respond to its interactions with other mods.

I wish I could be as diligent and I continually try to expand my knowledge awhile endeavoring to assist in "updating" mods I've found helpful but seem to have been allowed to lapse.

Hopefully, the time will come when my knowledge will increase to the point I can be more helpful to the community that has helped me so much.

I will certainly take the changes in the install file to heart as this has been a problem area for some in the past. I am learning more "tricks of the trade" every day and appreciate your input.

Please continue to monitor this process and hopefully I can run the 1.5.0 install by you for critique soon.
