subcategory Listing display issue

Hi, can anyone tell me what the right css syntax is to get my product subcategory listings to display in 3 columns as opposed to the 1 long column on display **here**:

one of the few display or layout items that has nothing to do with the css. Check out the admin panel. Should be under Configuration >> Index Listing

Alright - Well I've searched and don't seem to be able to find the admin settings that changes this. Under index listing all items that say columns per row are set to 3. Any other help would be greatly appreciated.
