I do not have the website hosted yet

Aren't you using Servage? If your site is using their space, they are your host... whether or not you have the frontend password protected.

If the site isn't hosted, where are you uploading images to? Where do you expect them to display? Running Zen Cart locally (on your C: drive as opposed to the net) is a different kettle of fish.
I did strip off the image location, Glenn, but that doesn't look like a ZC site (could be, but I can't be sure) and it's password protected, so I can't get in to look at what might be the issue.

oakwood,
Please post the contents of your /admin/includes/configure.php file. Feel free to mask the password, but please don't change anything else when posting it.

Can you post the url to where your Zen Cart is intalled?
It appears to be http://uk-hypnotherapy.eu/ ... which appears to still have the issue reported in a separate thread which the poster has allowed to go dormant: http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=84050
It could be that their FTP program is mangling files and thus the normal expected behavior is failing in multiple places.

OK OP let me have access and everything with this particular issue is sorted out now. Basically it was a matter of getting lost in your own directories. Multiple subdomains with multiple instances of cart files......you know the drill....even had me confused for a bit once I got in there.

I thought it might be something like that given the url to the image that was posted. I'm glad this is sorted.

You'll get it. From some of your other posts, you sound like you're just on the verge of the "break through" which is the most frustrating point. :frusty: We've all been there.

Thanks Mary - i hope so.

One day you'll look at your Zen Cart and think "why did I think that was so difficult?"

yep a new years resolution for 2010

using "online filemanager" in your servage control panel you can easily change the folders to 777 and you will have to do as they're not by default...
... trust me this will only be the start of your problems with servage....
I can't get Zen to send out any emails to customers because all their bloody IPs are blacklisted... and don't start me on the subject of getting SSL from them!
New Zenner
Thanks for your advice and i can only but agree about Servage, but i have learned this after committing to a host package. I am looking at other hosts - any recommendations ?

by the way it's Biker from DSF ;)

lol anyone other than Servage, I'm sticking with them at the moment as I've put in too many hours putting the shop together, and don't really want the hassle of moving.
I think the most annoying thing with servage is their support attitude which is always along the lines of "it's not our fault"
New Zenner
hehehe you get everywhere:clap:
