Free shipping to include COD fees?

I'd like to offer a free shipping coupon, which should also include the additional fees for Cash On Delivery (COD). How can this be done?

The coupon I've set up so far in Admin -> Gift Certificate/Coupons -> Coupon Admin only refunds the regular shipping costs. Under Admin -> Modules -> Order Total -> Discount Coupon -> Include Shipping is set to true.

This is built into the Modules ... Order Totals ... COD Fee ot_cod_fee and can be configured when you install this module ...

Discount Coupons have a setting for Free Shipping ...

NOTE: Discount Coupons cannot be both Free Shipping and a discount ...

The Discount Coupon for Free Shipping will cancel out whatever shipping method the customer has chosen by applying an equal discount for whatever charge it would have been ...

I have set up a free shipping coupon, but as you said, it cancels out only whatever shipping method+charges the customer chose, but NOT the COD fees. I want it to cancel out both.

If the Free Shipping is not defined then there wouldn't be a Fee for COD ...

Setting it to blank for:
COD Fee for Free Shipping Module - (freeshipper)

Means that there isn't a COD Fee on the Always Free Shipping Products when the whole cart is Always Free Shipping ...

I do not want to enable free shipping as a general option. Only with the coupon would the customer get free shipping - but then really free, i.e. the shipping costs and the COD fee would both be waived.

I only want to give this coupon to special customers, all others should not have the option to select any kind of free shipping. I do not have any Always Free Shipping Products.

I just tried setting to blank n the ot_cod_fee module:- COD Fee for Free Shipping by default

• COD Fee for Free Shipping Module - (freeshipper)
• COD Fee for Free-Options Shipping Module - (freeoptions)
  but it had no effect, see attachment. The DHL fee gets canceled out, the COD fee (Nachnahmegebühr) not.

BTW, don't know if it makes a difference, but for shipping I use the MultiGeoZone MultiTable module: http://www.dream-scape.com/pub/zencart/MZMT/

At this time, the Discount Coupon for Free Shipping takes off whatever Shipping Method is selected ...

We will look into this for a future release to separate it further ...

Ok, if there is no way to waive the COD fee from the admin area, is there any kind of hack I can do to patch this myself? I'm not afraid of meddling with the code, but I need to know where to start looking...

You could customize the ot_cod_fee.php Order Totals module to treat the order differently when the coupon is used ...

Hi,
I have a strange problem.
I COD fee is set to a value, but the minimum order value is not reached and therefore a shipping fee is applyed, the cod fee is not applyed.
If instead the minimum order is reached, there is not shipping fee, which is corect, and the COD fee is applyed if the payment method choosen is COD.
How can I solve this problem?
