Sorry, we are not accepting payments from your region at this time.

I'm using Pro and I get that message when I get to Step2 of checkout:
<i>Sorry, we are not accepting payments from your region at this time.</i>

Under Payment Modules, PayPal Pro and Express are green and "processing".

Zone definition, class, and rate are set up for California.

The site: http://www.equinartsinstitute.com/cart/

Where is my problem? :)

Re: Sorry, we are not accepting payments from your region at this time.

Do you have the payment zone for PayPal Pro and Express set to None, or to California?

Firstly, ensure the zone is set to None. Test again to see if it your billing address which is affecting the checkout, or the module. If the PayPal module then appears, then it may be that you have the zone setup incorrectly, or your billing address is not included within the zone.

Good luck,

Re: Sorry, we are not accepting payments from your region at this time.

That was dumb on my part. ;)

Now I get the following message when I enter my credit card info:
We were not able to process your order. Please select an alternate payment method, or contact the store owner for assistance. (26 )

Any ideas?

#Edit#
The info used to create my customer account matches my credit card info.

Re: Sorry, we are not accepting payments from your region at this time.

Do I have to upgrade to 1.3.8a?

Currently, I only have the 3 API fields and "order status" is set to "Processing 2" on both.

Please advise. ;)

Re: Sorry, we are not accepting payments from your region at this time.

Which version of Zen do you have installed currenctly?

THis thread http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=81696 explains the updates in 1.,3.8a, which only affect a couple of files, so should be fairly easy to upgrade, if you have 1.3.8.

Re: Sorry, we are not accepting payments from your region at this time.

I got "a" but the upgrade file does not say which files can be overwritten like you said. If it's only a fw files, that'll be easier than uploading all the files. Where can I find a list of the files to change?

Not entirely correct.

If you look in the /docs/ folder of every release of Zen Cart, you'll see an index.html file which will let you navigate the various documentation files, which include lists of changed files, new features, etc.

Additionally, the list of changed files was included in the v1.3.8a announcement on the forum: http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?p=473780#post473780

Re: Sorry, we are not accepting payments from your region at this time.

I've updated the files from 8 to 8a and I'm still getting the same error message:
We were not able to process your order. Please select an alternate payment method, or contact the store owner for assistance. (26 )

Files changed:
/includes/classes/class.smtp.php
/includes/modules/payment/authorizenet.php
/includes/modules/payment/authorizenet_aim.php
/includes/modules/payment/authorizenet_echeck.php
/includes/modules/payment/paypaldp.php
/includes/modules/payment/paypalwpp.php
/includes/version.php

What could it be?

Re: Sorry, we are not accepting payments from your region at this time.

You will need to UNISTALL and RE_INSTALL the paypal payment modules, because when you perform the install with the new files, new database entries are created. Ensure you backup your PayPal settings, as these aren't recorded when you re-install the module.

Re: Sorry, we are not accepting payments from your region at this time.

I looked on this forum and could not find how to get the PayPal PayFlow Pro login. Is it the same as PayPal Pro?

On the PayPal site, the related page only allows to get file downloads... 8|

I'm not sure where you're seeing "PayPal Pro".
Zen Cart offers PayPal Website Payments Pro as a built-in module.
PayPal also offers Payflow Pro as a different service.

Which service have you subscribed to?
What country are you in?

PayPal Pro in the USA.

Looks like it's working since I'm getting a new error. lol
#10002 Security error - Security header is not valid#

What does it mean?

I don't know if that's related but, after registering, I can't log in. When I request a new password ("forgot"), I can't log in either with that password.

Re: Sorry, we are not accepting payments from your region at this time.

I went from a full 3.8 install to 3.8a, just updating the files above. I use my own template but I didn't notice file changes there.

Do I need to do something on that end?

PayPal Pro in the USA.You didn't answer the question completely.
Are you using PayPal Payflow Pro, or PayPal Website Payments Pro?

PayPal Website Payments Pro; I made a mistake and checked the Flow checkbox. I've entered the PayPal Website Payments Pro info properly but now I have that new error:
10002 Security error - Security header is not valid

What do you think?

10002 Security error - Security header is not validSecurity Header Is Not Valid ... means that the API settings you supplied are incorrect.

Check these:

  • API username
  • API password
  • API signature
  • server = live (NOT sandbox)
  • mode = PayPal

... in both the Express Checkout and the Website Payments Pro modules.
