New Category, New Banner and Logo

Its simple when a user navigates to new categories I want to update the page with a banner/logo that correlates with category. I'm sure this is possible , but how hard would it be to do this and how do you do it.

There are a number of ways of approaching this depending upon specifically what you want to do and how good you are at PHP.

The simplest, requiring no coding whatsoever, is to give each category a category image and although these are usually small, there's no reason why they couldn't be much larger and banner like, you would just need to tweak the image sizes in Admin > Configuration > Images and supply suitably large images in Admin > Catalog > Categories/Products
