Telephone number is missing from invoices

The customer's telephone number doesn't show on the invoice.

The caption for Telephone: is there, but no number.

Can anyone help?

That means that telephone numbers are not getting stored in the databae
Do you see the telephone number when you click on the Customer details in the Admin?

Sure there is a telephone number for the customer under customer details.That's why this is so strange.

Well, then that means there is some problem with the orders.php
Did someone edit it?
What do you have around lines 370 around this section?

Can you place a test order and see if this happens with all the orders?
I went for checkout and got till I have to pay via paypal!

I installed COD payment type and created a free product with free shipping so that a new order can be generated without much hassle.
the new order displays the phone number with no problem.

So I guess this is ok, for now.
