Multiple pricelists with varying products
I have been searching for three hours on the forum, and I am beginning to feel that this must be a custom problem:
- We make a self-heating meal called HeaterMeals that comes in three different configurations/categories - HeaterMeals Entrees (8 varieties), HeaterMeals Plus Meal Kits (10 varieties), and HeaterMeals 3 Meal Kits (5 varieties).
I have loaded the categories, product types & images, along with pricing.
The challenge that I am encountering is that we have 16 "slightly" different pricelists, e.g. Individual customers have the potential to buy from all three categories at a one price level, wholesale customers at a lower level (with quantity discounts), and some organizations buy ONLY from one of our categories.
Our current OS Commerce shopping cart (and website) is ancient, and allows only Individual consumers to see the price of the products in the three categories, and to order online.
My goal in upgrading to Zencart is to allow the various customer groups need to log-in to the Zencart, and on their first visit, we will assign one of 16 pricelists that are used.
I set-up our 16 pricelists on the Group Pricing schedule; but setting the various pricing is a mystery. All I see is one "discount" option, and it looks like that the same discount will apply over all three categories automatically (which doesn't work well for us).
Is there some direction anyone can give me, or is this a custom programming job ?
Thanks for your consideration.
