Can't add product details

Hi,

I seem to be having some problems adding product details. I can add the product itself and the prices, pictures etc. but when I try to add the details and click update, it leaves the admin and takes me to my site.

The same thing happened while editing files using define pages.

Any idea what's wrong? I never had this problem with v. 1.3.7

Thank you

Re: Can't add product details

Ok, I did some little test in adding product details -

  1. letters and numbers (example: test1) = fine
  2. letters, number and symbols (example: test1/<>) = fine
  3. letter, number, symbols and html code (example: <p>test£1</br>) = problem

Everytime I add a html code is when it leaves admin and takes me to my site. How can i fix this?

Re: Can't add product details

Are you using the plain text editor when adding the html code?

first, i tried it with plain text and the problem happened.

second, i changed it to html under store->html editor (i assume that where you change it) and the problem still occured.

the thing is, on my other site v.1.3.7, i have it on plain text and never had this problem. could this have something to do with my host/server?

Possible but more likely the code you are adding. You might try plain text and something simple first & see if it errors

adding <p> or <br> and the problem happens already.

Well as you know this is not normal and I have not seen this it may be some host quirk??

What happens if you add styled text using the html editor? As this adds html tags.

You can toggle between the html and plain text views.
