Images not Showing in local

Hello,
I installed version 1.3.7 on my PPC G4 and everithing seems to work fine,apart that when I "upload "images for a new product the image doesn't show,both in admin and in the shop.
Is there anyone that knows what's happening?

Well,
I'll try to explain better:when I'm fitting all the field in the new product page,when it comes to choose an image for the product,after having chosen one from my hard disk fitting the field near the "upload"botton,when I try to upload the image does not go into the images directory,so no image apper in the product page in the shop.
Any help ?

I am having the same issue. I am running OS X 1.5.2, and Zen Cart 1.3.8a. Everything else works fine, but when I try to upload images when creating new products, it does not complain -- but the images never show up.

I am running a recent version of Xampp.

The file never gets uploaded to the server. Just to be sure it wasn't a browser issue, I tested it in Firefox 3, Safari, and Opera. Same result.

I am doing this on my local machine, although theoretically it shouldn't matter.

I am having the same issues, if I try to add images to products they never show, if I try to add an image to a category then I go back in the admin it says file not found or does not exist. Can anyone help us with this? :frusty:

what file formats are you using for your images? )png doesn't play well with ZenCart

are the file extensions ALL CAPS? (NO NO NO!)

how are your images named? for instance, don't use ' in the image name

what permission setting do you have on your images folder?

for file extensions I am using .jpg (lowercase)
file name example: product01_LRG.jpg
I have set read/write to all on all image folders, while I use the upload they never show in the folder and if I directly place them there and then try to link they still do not attach to the product. I believe it must have something to do with permissions but I can not for the life of me figure this one out, tried on a friends pc with his shop the same methods and all works fine but on my mac nada.

Im having a similar problem...
images show up on firefox on ubuntu but not firefox on mac.
they show up in safari.

I have'nt tested it in explorer.

images are set to 777, is this the correct permissions? it doesnt sound quite right.

When I say no images show up in Firefox on Mac I mean no images at all, no banners, logos, products, and also icons in admin area.

So in Firefox on my mac I cant add new categories or products because the icons that you click to do so are images, I cant even enable or disable categories.

Im really confused about it, maybe someone can shed some light...

If the images appear ok in other browsers but not one of the browsers (Mac Firefox in your case), then you probably need to check the problematic browser's image/privacy settings or if any browser add-ons are causing the problem.

I was having similar trouble with my files today. I fixed the problem by making sure I did chmod 777 on the directory where the images were located AND changed the file name to all lowercase letters. That seemed to take care of the problem.

Yes, I am agree with this there are big problem here so I am worry to this........
