Re: Colour of Side Columns

If you're asking about the template_default settings, then the sidebar colors are controlled by these lines in the stylesheet> #navColumnOne {

background-color: #FFCC99;
}

#navColumnTwo {
background-color: #00BFBF;
}If you're talking about another template, we would need to see it to be able to answer the question for sure.

Re: Colour of Side Columns

I found this in my CSS file:

#navColumnOne, #navColumnTwo {
	background-color: transparent;
	}

My CSS file is in my override system so it has a few changes made to it, but the background colour of the sidebars I haven't changed. They're the same colour as the ones here: http://demo.globant.com/~brovagnati/zen_demo1/

I tried putting in the two tags you stated into photoshop but they came up with different colours to the one of my site.

Re: Colour of Side Columns

I suspect that you're not talking about columns but about the background to the whole site. This, for the classic template, is located right at the top of the stylesheet> body {

margin: 0;
font-family: verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;
font-size: 62.5%;
color: #000000;
background-color: #e5edf5;

}

Re: Colour of Side Columns

Yeah sorry about the misunderstanding, my fault. Im talking about the background colour of the whole site. I found the section you mentioned:

body {
	margin: 0;
	font-family: verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;
	font-size: 62.5%;
	color: #000000;
	background-color: #e5edf5;
	}

I tried putting #e5edf5 into photoshop but it comes up with a much darker blue colour than the one used on the site. Definitely not the same colour. Do you know why this might be?

Re: Colour of Side Columns

That could depend on how you tried to put into Photoshop. If you were adding it to a document that was in CMYK rather than RGB colorspace for example, I would expect there to be some difference.

Otherwise you have to check whether the color is different, or just looks different because your browser / screen combination represents it differently to your Photoshop colorspace / screen configuration combination.
