Mini-Stores: Separate Stylesheets?

I'm going to be setting up a Zen-Cart web store very soon. My client has three mini-stores -- each with their own header graphics and stylesheet.

Is there a way to assign a separate stylesheet to each main product category -- in order to make this all one store? Or do I have to do three separate ZC installations for the three stores and run each one separately?

I found the Smart Backgrounds contribution which is similar to what I'm trying to do:

But I'm looking to also load a different CSS for each main category -- to change bar graphics, text/link colors, etc. Like a "smart backgrounds" type of contribution.

Does anyone know if this contribution would allow you to do this? Any recommendations? Thanks for your help!
