Authorize.net AIM and Multiple Currencies

I am trying to use Authorize.net's AIM with multiple currencies in Zen Cart Version 1.3.7.1 It works fine except when user select some other currency, it still sends amount to be charged in USD (My default currency). I am sure this is some configuration settings, but can not find out how to fix this. In Authorizenet Array in debug email, it charges the USD amount instead of let's say 50 GBP and does not put x_currency, while order shows 50 GBP. Please help.

Sending to Authorizenet: Array
(
[x_login] => *******
[x_tran_key] => *******
[x_relay_response] => FALSE
[x_delim_data] => TRUE
[x_version] => 3.1
[x_type] => AUTH_CAPTURE
[x_method] => CC
[x_amount] => 106.00
[x_card_num] => *******1111
[x_exp_date] => 0108
.....
)

Re: Authorize.net AIM and Multiple Currencies

As far as I know, Authorize.net only supports USD at the present time.
And, most merchant accounts only let you handle one currency per merchant account anyway.

Re: Authorize.net AIM and Multiple Currencies

Dr. Byte,

Thanks for the quick response. I was reading AIM_guide.pdf and it stated that you can specify x_currency_code to specify the currency of the transaction amount. Besides, I was wondering how we can avoid, if customers select some currency to buy items in and the invoices display amounts in that currency and their credit card statements display amount in USD.

Re: Authorize.net AIM and Multiple Currencies

Authorize.net only processes in USD at the present time.
Their parent company, CyberSource allows processing in alternate currencies.
You might want to talk to your Authorize.net representative for alternate options.

The x_currency_code field is currently not used, according to the technical integration staff I just spoke to.

Zen Cart is translating the purchase amount to USD before submission, based on your currency exchange rates set in your admin area.

Re: Authorize.net AIM and Multiple Currencies

Thanks a bunch Dr. Byte, I was surprised to know that nobody else had any problems with this yet as the invoice amount and currency could be different than credit card amount and currency.

Re: Authorize.net AIM and Multiple Currencies

Need help! Can I re-visit this issue? I am setting-up a new store and my default currency is Euro (expect mostly European customers). However my Linkpoint / First Data merchant account is a US account (US Dollars). I've configured the Linkpoint payment module in the Admin area and it works OK. But now when a customer buys something for - let's say - 75 euros, how do I make sure the transaction is submitted to the payment gateway in the equivalent amount in US Dollars or not US$75? (of course I wouldn't want to under-charge the customer!)
