can't run installer

I cannot for the life of me figure out what I am doing wrong, but I have not been able to run the installer for my site for the past 2 weeks. I've been using SmartFTP to upload the files and I'm almost 100% sure that all the files have been uploaded. When I go to my site I get this message: "This Web site is coming soon. If you are the owner of this web site you have not uploaded (or incorrectly uploaded) your web site. For information on uploading your web site using FTP client software or web design software, click here for FTP Upload Information." I'm wondering if maybe it has to do with my hosting account. I'm just lost right now and very frustrated. Any advice?

When you open your FTP program and connect to your hosting account, do you see a "public_html" or maybe a "htdocs" or "httpdocs" folder? You need to upload your Zen Cart files into one of those existing folders.
