Customer Information and Account Creation Email

Hello all,

I have set up and configured my first site using Zen Cart. It has been very user friendly, and really like the interface! There are a few things I have not been able to figure out though and I would really appreciate some help.

  1. If possible, where can I change the default email that is sent to new customers when they log in? I cant find it through the admin.

  2. is it possible to add the category for Dr. along with Mr and Mrs in the customer registration?

Any help you can give is much appreciated! Thank you!

you can set the default email for the user when he is login.
please go to the admin panel and from Configuration -> Email Options.

In Email Options u can set the default email from admin.

If you want to add Dr. option along with Mr and Mrs. u need to do some changes in coding.
u can't add Dr. option from the admin area.

To edit the TEXT of the welcome e-mail, open up the following file:-

includes/languages/english/create_account.php

You should use a good text editor to modify PHP files (such as CRIMSON EDITOR which is available as freeware - do a google search for CRIMSON EDITOR).

When you have EDITED the file, save it an an over-rides folder, such as:-

includes/languages/english/CUSTOM/create_account.php

(See other threads on the OVER-RIDE SYSTEM.)

To add the "Dr" option, you may need to make changes to the database tables, and unless you know what you're doing, dont tamper with the structure of the database.
