Customizing Info Display for a specific Sale Category

Hi All,

Not new to Zen Cart but first time posting on the forums. I've done well customizing our site simply by reading through the posts and using the replies. But I've got a specific problem I've not been able to find a clue on. So here goes:

Our site has created several permanent & ongoing Sales: "In-Stock" & "Pre-Orders". So all of the products that we sell will fall into one of these Sale category.

Here is what we need help with. Is there a way to customize the Sale Information Displayed on the product's description page for one particular sale, PRE-ORDER, but leave the other Sale alone?

More specifically, this is what we want when a customer is looking at a product description page.
**
For a product in the "PRE-ORDER" Sale:**

**$45.99 **(Strike Through)
PRE-ORDER Sale: $36.79
**Save: **20% Off

**When the above product then gets moved to the "In-Stock" Sale:

$45.99 **(Strike Through)
Sale: $40.01
**Save: **13% Off

Essentially, we only want to customize the Pre-Order sale display in the product's page but leave the In-Stock sale alone. Is this possible?

This on the surface may seem simple to do, but I'm thinking it might require some database altering? Not sure.

Any help or suggestions will be very much appreciated.

If you were to alter it so that it used added another prefix (before PRODUCT_PRICE_SALE in each of the 3 spots) in the case of your PreOrder sale, you'd have it.

You'll have to come up with what determines whether it's a PreOrder item or not.

The way we are determining an item is PO is by putting them all in the SaleMaker category we created - "PRE-ORDER".

Since there is really no way in the Product input to make this distinction, we've found that making two SaleMaker category and having it automatically change the price depending on where the product is relocated works the best. This is the only feasible distinction we've been able to come up with, it's location.

Not sure how or what kind of Pre-Fix we can add to make the distinction for the two folders.

Any possibility for customizing the lay out specifically for the PRE-ORDER category we've created in SaleMaker?

SaleMaker only affects price. Nothing else.
Doing things with layout based on SaleMaker settings is going to be very challenging.
